Gujarat Gas Corporation Ltd.,Surat a premier Gas distribution Company, and an associate of British Gas, had laid a compressed Natural Gas pipeline from the port of Hazira to the township of Ankleshwar, passing through Barbodhan, Surat, Obha with 5 RTUs (remote telemetry unit) at each station. The length of this pipeline was 110 Kms, with 5 RTUs including 1MCR (Master Control Room, Surat).
